Edmonton Scoliosis Clinic - Pediatric - Stollery Children's Hospital

Specific services include:
  • Assessment of spinal deformity
  • Suggesting treatment options such as bracing and surgery, offering conservative treatment such as braces and physiotherapy, as well as surgical treatments
  • Monitoring progression and referring spinal orthoses
  • The children, their caregivers and students in health care professionals are educated in proper back care and management of spinal anomalies
  • Children are invited to participate in ongoing research that is an integral part of this program

 A referral is needed to access this service. A referral letter and x-ray reports must be sent to the Orthopaedic Surgeon or Nurse Practitioner from the primary care provider.
